The only thing in the entire special that I actually found funny was the part in the reaction video thing, where it "rolls over" and he starts reacting to the reaction. That was brilliant. The rest was at best boring, and at worst outright cringe.

I thought the rest was okay as a peek into the inside of Bo, but I agree it was my least favorite special and ended up telling me less about Bo than I learned from Words words words, what, and make happy tbh.

More of a showcase about how smart and creative he is rather than a comedy special. Appreciated the talent but was mostly bored. Watched his other two specials afterwards and enjoyed them both much, much more.

Its almost like at its roots, it wasnt a comedy special. It just happened to have elements of comedy in it.

It's only pretentious if you don't think he is actually starting to come unhinged after awhile; I don't know if you've ever made content like this special before but after awhile doing everything yourself starts to really get to you. You start hating yourself, throwing stuff out, rewriting it, end up doing needless takes because you have no one to bounce ideas off of, and that doesn't compare even slightly to reviewing footage and the arduous, hellious, awful nature of editing thousands of hours of yourself. He's definitely loosening screws during it and it shows. What starts as a joke and gimmick becomes more real over the course of the special.

It's not a comedy special, it's a one man show. Bo has never really done straight stand up.

In all seriousness I think it's people's unfamiliarity to the format and expectations going into it that is offputting to people.
