He was taking his son, Harrison home from the game and had just coached his team when he got into some altercation with another motorist and used a hand gesture to that motorist when the driver a light coloured SUV then opened fire striking Broughton in the head causing him to lose control and then crashed into an apartment complex. Harrison tried to give CPR before an ambulance arrived. The shooter is still at large after speeding off in a Chevy Tahoe, Suburban or similar vehicle... He was an assistant coach for Armstrong-Cooper "Youth Baseball Association" and is described as a wonderful person who always had a smile as he leaves behind a wife, his son and 13 y/o daughter Police said there was a traffic altercation prior to the shooting which they described as senseless act beyond understanding when hand gestures were exchanged Police Chief, Erik Fadden held back tears as he spoke at a press conference stating "This was one of the most tragic events that i have ever witnessed in my 20 years of policing.
