I have no idea how most people can afford $200/ticket and up unless they have no bills/expenses and they live in mommy and daddys house or. theyre rich and wealthy

Those prices are out of reach for regular middle class people

I'd say it depends on context

If you're buying 4-figure tickets, yes, you're probably well off. But big events are quite accessible to the middle, and even the low, class. It costs as little as $30 a ticket to go see a hockey game in my city. A father who makes 20 bucks an hour could easily take himself and 2 kids there, as that's a reasonable weekly entertainment budget for someone of that income.

If you can afford to live without working, you're wealthy. In the US, if you can afford a medical emergency without ending up in crippling debt, one could argue that you're rich.

Of course if you compare to someone working a gig job like Uber and barely scraping by, affording luxuries like concert tickets seems rich.

Wow I wish prices were that low in the San Francisco bay area

Im looking at least $200/ticket for a 49ers game, Warriors tickets are always insanely overpriced, and Giants baseball tickets are ridiculous (especially when the Dodgers are here).

The only affordable sport I can think of is maybe the MLS

Not unless you mean something the size of the Super Bowl

Super bowl is even worse

it is damn near impossible for 95% of people to attend unless you know someone who can hook you up with tickets.

It cost like only double that for my season ticket at Stoke, even when we were in the premier League (19 games).

Also been an FA Cup final and that was only 60. Most I ever paid was 260 for an England game at Euro 2016, but that was because I got it from a tout site. Would have been about 50 otherwise.

Our local football team which tends to finish in the first 3 spots and plays Europe games is very affordable to go see. Like 5 to 10 euro per ticket.

It actually depends what section. Ive been to games there plenty of times before I had kids so im pretty familiar with the layout of the stadium.

Prices also heavily depend on who theyre playing too. If its the Dodgers. forget it

I'd imagine there is minor league stuff you could go watch that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg. Granted that's in consideration of taking kids out to sporting events, I don't have much interest in minor league stuff but when my kids want to see live sports that's usually what I spring for because for them its about being out with mom and dad more than it is about going to see the best sports teams battle it out.

It's called budgeting. I'll gladly drop 100-400 on a ticket once or twice a year. But when I want to do that I'll plan accordingly and skip going out for a few weekends or pass on going out to eat/lunch ect. to make sure it doesn't put me in a bad place financially.

Hell I have 2 credit cards I barely touch with the express intent to max out if the Bears make it to another Superbowl in my lifetime...since it will probably be a once (well 2nd but I was only 18 in 2006) in a lifetime thing.

I wish I could get a Patriots ticket for $200. Theyre like $350 for the worst seats. And the Pats/Bucs game tickets were already over $1300 for nosebleeds the day they went on sale
