a burger place near me offers a PBB&J burger. peanut butter, bacon and jelly. it also has fresh strawberry slices. when i first saw this on the menu i was like "dude wtf, just no". but after going there for a couple of years and seeing it still on the menu, i figured someone's gotta like it or it wouldn't still be offered. i gave it a try and ended up really liking it. the saltiness of the peanut butter complimented the sweetness of the jelly (in typical PB&J style). i order on occasion if i'm in the mood.

The one I had was peanut butter, bacon jam, and kettle chips. The crunch of the chips, the savory burger, the sweet and salty jam, and the creamy peanut butter were in harmony.

There's an ESPN restaurant at one of the resorts in WDW that has a burger with peanut butter, bacon, and jalapeno jelly. I don't remember if it had cheese or not, but I don't think so. But that shit was really fucking good. Much better than I expected.

Depends on the peanut butter. Most of it has palm oil or worse vegetable oil in it which is awful for you. Jif, Skippy all those big brands have spun vegetable oil in it. Then it's just peanut 'spread'.

Another PB Burger I've had was bacon, gouda, burger, PB, and thinly sliced green apples.

They called it the "trust me burger" because trust me, it's good.

The only vegetable oil worth avoiding like the plague is soybean oil because of studies that not only link it to diabetes and obesity even worse than HFCS and every other kind of cooking or dressing oil does but also studies that showed it can possibly cause genetic changes in the brain unlike any other kind of oil (initial studies used mice, more research is needed to verify the same effect in humans).

A lot are typically palm oil, which has a lot of saturated fat. Couple that with peanut butter already having a decent amount of saturated fat and it's not good. For example I have 3 kinds of peanut butter in my house:

One with hydrogenated vegetable oil (rapeseed/cottonseed)

One with Palm Oil

And one that's just peanuts.

They have comparable nutrition, but the kinds of acids in one and the other coupled with sources of oil, and the two with the oil are def worse for ya. Plus, palm oil is bad for the environment and is a leading cause of deforestation.

Au natural is the way to go with peanut butter.
