Right wing conservative nonsense is huge in the UK. In America they are loud but they are a minority.

In the UK it's the majority, they dominate elections, news, media and attitudes. There's a reason there's so much racism and Brexit won.

The status quo of the UK attitude is that reality denial is absolutely fine and to be encouraged and embraced.

Republicans in the US are butfuck nuts. Especially after Trump. They're not even conservatives, they're a nutty conspiracy focused group of crackpots with no clear idealogy other than empowering Republicans and grifting cash .

But most Americans aren't Republicans, they win elections due to how flawed the US election system is and the amount of cheating, voter suppression etc they do.

In the UK the Conservative party is less insane than the US and more right wing. But their increase in deliberate cruelty and decrease in incompetent idiocy actualy makes them worse and more dangerous. Pretty much every conservative MP actually knows how government works. Unlike their American counterparts. And they have majority support from the population. In England at least.

That's what is scary.

Imagine if instead of Trump losing the popular vote by millions of people, he won the popular vote by tens of millions.

That's the UK.

Johnson is way worse than Trump BECAUSE he isn't hated and he isn't as stupid. He's Trump if Trump knew he was a conman.

He is an evil cruel vindictive man who has done immense amounts of harm to millions of people for decades and is a net detrement to the UK and the world.

The fact people at best love him and at worst think he is a funny joke but harmless is a disturbing feat and one he has intentionally implemented.

Stupid and arcahic practice that makes absolutely no sense but not going anywhere because it makes the UK a fortune. It's basically their #1 marketing and tourism attraction.

It's going to take a hit when the Queen dies but it's not going anyway.

I'd argue the House of Lords is more egregious than the Queen.

I have one friend whos a Young Earth Creationist who believes some wild explanations for any evidence that goes against that belief. He denies climate change. But the funny thing is one of his explanations he gave one time for giant animals like dinosaurs that we find the bones of depends on rapid climate change (something about the amount of oxygen in the air making big animals become small).

I knew a guy who didn't think 9/11 happened either. He thought it was a CGI animated film directed by James Cameron, and was testing Avatar's realistic technology on the public before he started making the movie.
