I'm not sure which one yet, but I'm pretty sure I want a .38 caliber.

Yeah, I heard they were cheap enough to shoot someone and throw away or something. I want a decent one, but I'm not going to spend ridiculous money on a fancy one lol.

Of all the people on this board, you're one of the last who should be allowed anywhere near a firearm.

If youre going to get a .38 special, you might as well get a .357 because most can fire both rounds. I know Taurus makes a model for about $320 that fires both rounds.

I have a S&W 686-6, but I stick with .357 caliber.

Cool, yeah, I heard something about that. Maybe I'll try them out at the range first.

The one I had was dead accurate at like 100 ft (I didnt shoot further than that). It was a really small gun and it actually had a 5-round cylinder. I know Taurus has a lot of choices for these two rounds and the prices are pretty good.

This derringer is pretty neat. I know it's not that practical for defense or anything, but I do like derringers lol.

I mean in terms of only holding two bullets. But yeah, I know they are useful for being so small.

Looking for a carry gun or just for fun?

You could go for a full size service pistol or one thats more for target shooting.

I have 2 Colt Trooper MKIII's (one nickel and one blued) and an Officer Model Match. Both are amazing guns, and the Troopers can also use .357 Magnum.

That and you can find them at gun auctions pretty commonly and at a very cheap price.

Just for fun. I don't really plan to conceal carry or anything even though I can without a permit here. All I really want to do is go out in the desert and shoot some targets when things cool down in the winter.

Oh shit, i may have been wrong about the cheap part.

I paid 120 bucks for my trooper back in 05 when i was a teenager, now they go for 1200 used >_>

Those classic revolvers must be hella sought after. I dont even wanna price check my Anaconda.

Go find a topic about a warned user or a pitbull or trans topic and go call people some bigots and shit like you normally do.

Please just let me have this and go away. I promise i wont shit post in this one and stick to actual discussion.

Yeah, all good. I don't even check prices right now. I'm not in a rush to get one.

Usually it's better to find something chambered for .357, that way you can shoot .38 and .357 at your leisure.

Plus, revolvers chambered for .357 are generally built stronger, so as long as you keep up with the cleaning, you'll get more life and versatility out of them.

Ok, cool. Thanks. I'll look more into .357s. I'm not in any rush to buy anything, especially with prices the way they are now.

im assuming youd like a snub nose. not really cheap, but i really like the Kimber K6s' and of course smith and wesson makes a lot of nice ones with some class to them and S&W carries a lot of collect-ability. the Ruger LCR is probably the best carry revolver on the market if you wanted to do so and their sp101's, while not particularly fancy are little tanks if you wanted a rugged woods gun. if its something youre not going to be putting thousands of rounds through and dont want to break the bank then maybe look to taurus like their 605's.

I'm also confused as to how he intends to pay for it
