If change needs to happen, it needs to happen on a systematic level, the individual level helps but there needs to be a major shift. I did my job of being a consumer, paying for a product I liked, and using it legally to my convenience. Generally people lived where their bodies were most adjusted to the climate. White people lived in cooler climates, darker people who have more sun/heat resistance lived where it's warmer. Moved into a house with some friends sophomore year through graduation, and they insisted on using the AC constantly. I hated it.
