Current Events > For the first time ever, I feel compelled to own an Xbox and PS in the same gen

I went from owning an OG Xbox, to the 360, to a PS4. Im definitely prioritizing a PS5 as I plan to have that as my main console, but Id love to have a Series X to play older titles and exclusives I missed last gen. Not to mention Game Pass looking like a sweet deal.

Anyone else feel the same way?

Oddly enough I had absolutely no interest in an Xbox One. Microsoft dropped the ball (IMO) during the last 3 years of the 360s life cycle, and it left a bad taste in my mouth.

I still think Xbox has a better controller for shooters and PS better controller for sports games. I either play COD or FIFA. All my friends that play FIFA have PS4 and all my friends that play COD have Xbox. Thats why I bought both.

In the future I'll probably only get Xbox just because thats what all my friends play and now my xbox friends are starting to play FIFA more whereas my PS4 friends are playing online less.

I also have a 2 year old toddler and a newborn on the way in about a month so I'm not even gonna bother buying anything new for at least a year.

I was an adult last gen too. I just never had even the slightest desire to own an Xbone. The only exclusive I feel like I missed out on last gen was Sunset Overdrive, and Id be able to play it on XSX anyway.

I have a series x and digital ps5.

last gen I didnt even have an Xbox, but this gen the Xbox is getting used WAY more than the PlayStation. At least so far.

im thinking the ps5 is mostly just going to be for exclusives this gen and Xbox for everything else.

If you have a decent enough internet speed, then gamepass you can just stream now so don't even really need an Xbox if that's why you wanted one.
