I thought it was funny and the writers really know their trek. Lots of little references to various series and some rather obscure trek stuff.
As a Fan(not a hardcore one. Similar to that Harley Quinn show, the trailer made it look god awful, but the actual show was great. It was like seeing 90s trek from another (more light and humorous) perspective and is closer to the beloved 90s Trek than current Alex Kurtzman blow everything up Trek.
