I don't know. Is it wrong to post news that occur frequently in the real world? Or are these cases just freak cases and aren't representative what's happening?

In my opinion, I would blame the news reporters and the media for reporting these stories if you don't like them. They're the ones that bring these stories to everyone. Without them, we wouldn't know about these things. Don't blame the messenger.

But at the same time...I find it odd that people are getting mad that people are reporting these news on CE. It's kind of sus if you think about it

But they aren't representative of what's happening because they are one sided by the very nature of news stories. You're not going to have news stories about pitbulls doing nothing because that's not news, and you're only seeing so many stories because these shitposters are combing the web specifically for said stories so they can post them all here and make it look like it's a more common occurence than it is.

I think they get excitable when they find a story and realize they have sure fire topic material. I doubt they give a second thought to victims. Since usually the conversation is never geared towards the victims. Using horrific stories for attention under the guise of spreading awareness is pretty pathetic. Especially when you're not really open to a real discussion about the topic after as well. We could actually have discussions about why some dogs attack people, but they won't accept anything that's not a generalization of all Pits. They're not as interested in solving the problem as much as they are in taking away family pets from loving families.

Is it it not representative of the aggregate animal attacks though? Isn't that the point of these topics? To show that out of all the domesticated animals, it's pitbulls that are attacking? I mean you can't deny that facts...If chihuahuas attacks were a thing, don't you think people would post about that often as much as pitbull attacks? But it's not happening in reality, so that's why you don't see chihuahuas topics.

They wouldn't. Same way no one post when a cat freaks out and scratches the fuck out of people with malicious intent. It's also just no news worthy. A bad raised Pitbull can do more damage that a bad raised cat. Actually, a cat would just cause an infection that would really fuck you up. But again, that's not sensational for news.

The point of these topics is to cherry pick negative news articles specifically about pitbulls, so those are the articles you are going to see on this board. That's not representative of all animal attacks at all because the people making the topics have a very specific agenda they're trying to push. Something more relevant would be statistics about what percentage of pet pitbulls attack vs. what percentage of other breeds or other animals. But you're still not likely to get data about chihuahuas biting someone's ankle and not even breaking the skin even though it's an attack, for example.

This article is about fatal attacks, which is not a representation of attacks overall because, you know, if a pitbull attacks they're a little more likely to kill someone than if a chihuahua attacks. All this means is that pitbulls are stronger than other breeds; it doesn't mean anything with regard to whether they attack people more than other breeds.

I can agree there are a bunch more pit bull topics, which I can agree, do we really need a thousand of them? It's common sense that pit bulls attack and are more dangerous than other breeds. Every one knows this.

I do care about the victims. It's pretty messed up what's happening. Pit bulls are dangerous. I also laugh at the clowns that get mad. It's a double whammy.
