Because everybody knows that the internet is all about getting the last word. You have to one-up the person you're having a discussion with. Nobody ever gives up an argument on the internet.

This is true on GameFAQs, Reddit, just about everywhere on the internet. Or am I wrong, and people have actually admitted to being wrong and seeing the opposing viewpoint?

I remember someone changing my mind on no-knock raids a while back (I think it might have been UnfairRepresent actually, but I could be wrong.) I used to be for them, now I think they're just bad in most cases.

The few arguments I get into on gamefaqs.gamespot.com I usually give up. Not because I'm wrong but because the other person is too stupid to stop. Arguing with an idiot is for idiots.

It's seldom but I have. It's seldom because most arguments I get into are opinion based. I try to avoid arguments based in fact unless I feel I have a decent knowledge of said facts. The times I argue on a subject I dont much about I'm probably drunk. And thats usually when I end up conceding cause I end up feeling embarassed and I feel conceding saves face rather than digging in and making even more of a ass of myself.
