I'm not basing this on how it feels to be alone from gender to gender. The violence discrepancy is a verified, studied fact and your emotional appeals won't change that.

there are a lot of different kinds of violence

theres a big difference between a couple guys getting in a fight over something and being the victim of a violent crime, and there are a ton of violent crimes that are carried out almost entirely against women

theres tons of stuff that guys can do without even really thinking about it but if a woman did those things they could very well be putting themself in legitimate danger

for example I sometimes go for a walk in the middle of the night if I cant sleep, you dont see too many women do stuff like that on their own and you cant blame them at all

While more men have been the victims of violent crime (except sexual offenses), Meads right. More men could probably handle themselves better than the average woman

Also, and I could be wrong, but it might turn violent in some cases because the victim is a man. For example, simply snatching a womans purse might not be considered a violent crime. But trying to pickpocket a guy might turn into a violent crime if the tries to fight back, as an example

Also, I think more guys tend to get into fights, which could be considered a violent crime

like yeah, the crimes rates might be similar, but it doesn't tell the whole story. Break out that data into demographics. How many violent crimes are women against men? men against men? men against women? and women against women?
