Anyone who hasn't Youtubed it is missing out, I'm sure there's a cutscene compilation on there. Or in my case I watched a twitch stream & just skipped battles and sidequests, either way.

And Sonon's a non-entity anyways, just like we didn't nominate in Andrea or Madame M or Roche... two FF7 hard boots were more than enough.

I think it's telling when Galuf is one of the better dads just because we've never seen him interact with his kid.

Disagree pretty heavily here. Both the story and backstory paints Cidolfus as a fantastic father, that did every thing possible for all of his kids and went extra far for Famram.

Well Jecht and Hojo are terrible dads, Dr Cid would hardly win father of the year and as said we don't even see Galuf interact with his child (great grandad though!). Even Laguna is a stretch really, he's great to Ellone when he's around but that's not for very long.

I guess healthy parent/child relationships aren't usually the backbone of good FF stories!

(To be honest I just find them to all be quality characters that happen to be dads, I know most arent great at that role except for Barret, Sazh, and ironically Dad)
