An 80-year-old man was found dead in a Staten Island apartment building with the words I touch little girls scrawled across his body, cops said Tuesday.

The elderly man, whose name was not released, was found just after 9:30 a.m. Monday inside the first-floor hallway of 256 Corson Ave., according to police.

The man, who was shirtless and lying face up, had cuts to his forehead and two black eyes, police said.

On his chest, the words I touch little girls were written in black ink, police confirmed.

Cops also found the words I take dolls in my room for girls age 1-5 on his stomach and I touch on his foot, according to police sources.

The NYPDs homicide unit is investigating and the medical examiner will determine the cause of death.

This, for all we know it was an attempt at discouraging potential witnesses from cooperating with police. Hell, witnesses might even refuse to come forward at all.

WE have no proof of this guy doing anything wrong. And people are assuming that he must have done something. We are all talking about what this guy might have done. And really not look at all at the crime we know was done. If someone was criminal this would be a good way to cover your crime, because who wants to defend a horrible person, even after death .

Do people actually think that real child molesters are getting killed by vigilantes? Real child molesters usually get supported and defended by the people around them and victims are told to shut up. Trump, Gaetz, etc. The only people getting killed by vigilantes are people who nobody likes, who get accused of random shit because it justifies murdering them.

Average pedophiles are defended and protected by their family. Usually an abuser is an older family member or family friend, and usually the child is pressured to keep quiet to not rock the boat. The vast majority of sexual assaults aren't reported and even fewer reports actually go anywhere.

The people attacked by vigilantes are just people who are widely disliked in the community. Calling someone who dislike a pedo is the same as calling someone a witch in the 1600s. It's an excuse to attack them when you already wanted to. There are very rare cases where they attack an actual pedophile, but they're aberrations. For all the "Let's kill the pedos!" rhetoric you see online and in the media, how many real pedos actually get attacked? Less than 1%?

Online/media "Yeah let's kill the pedos!" rhetoric is basically a society-wide overcompensation. Because in real life people act in the exact opposite way. If society actually hated pedophiles that much there wouldn't be such a stigma in coming forward as a victim. It wouldn't be so hard to get a conviction.

All of this is to say: people online who cheer for vigilantism while doing nothing to actually help victims or advocate changes in culture are frauds.
