I've already gone from 1,400 gil (Fort Condor battle -.-) to close to 9,000 gil just by trying to find her.

Did you rest in the house at Judon? She stops spawning until you get to Costa del Sol if you do that.

She can be pretty annoying to recruit at the first opportunity, IIRC the chance to encounter her is lowest at that point

Nope. I need to rest soon at Fort Condor again soon though. Very low on MP.

I remember when I first encountered her and was like "Woa, this is new" and then I was in a screen and saw a save point so I thought "I guess I'll save since I have the chance" and then she was gone...and later I was like "Sonuva!"

I recall that for whatever reason, on my first save file I named her "Sephiroth" except it was spelt wrong and all-caps.

I remember she hardly had any dialogue in the game and felt pointless. And I also never went to Wutai ever.

I found her pretty easily in the big forests near Junon.

It's generally agreed that Cloud, Barret, Yuffie, and Cid are the best characters in the game.

She has an entire side quest that you can't do if you miss her. For an optional character she actually has quite a bit of content

It's not that bad or annoying, though. I usually found her to appear within a few encounters.

You only have a 32/256 chance of finder her outside of fort condor. After Junon you will have a 64/256 chance, so might as well wait.

Then you had to answer all her questions completely opposite of what would be logical. Like when sbe asks if you wanna know her name you gotta say no

meh. the only thing I remember being difficult was emerald weapon and I don't think I even got her in the game I beat that thing. Ruby was tough but was mostly just a 1/3 chance of success (meaning the odds that the correct person was left in the fight, but any character could have fit the bill for it. It was just KotR and W-item with elixir and those paralysis needle things iirc, maybe W-summon on KotR? It was like 20 years ago lol)

Cait Sith can one-shot the final boss with his limit. Most people would never see it happen. But he could.

FF7 tier lists are a little pointless since the characters are even more alike than your standard JRPG. Everyone can have their stats maxed. Everyone can equip any materia so anyone can have any skill. The only strict differences between characters are weapons and limits. Not to mention most of us beat the game and the optional bosses when we were stupid kids so it's obviously not a hard enough game it would even matter. But it is still kinda fun to think about.

Oh, HP and MP values differ between characters too. But that's not very important.

No matter what I did with vincet I couldn't get his damage ouput aa good as say clouds. I maxed hia strength stat. Was I doing it wrong? Fact he uses a gun change which stat affected damage?

Could also be their ultimate weapons, they have weird rules.

It's hard to say but likely if you were using Death Penalty and comparing it against Cloud's Ultima Weapon then that's why. Ultima Weapon goes up in strength using Cloud's HP. Death Penalty weirdly goes up in strength based on the number of enemies Vincent has ever killed. Death Penalty has the potential to be absurdly powerful but no non-grinding-obsessed player would ever see it get as strong as the other ultimate weapons.

Death Penalty powers up slowly but surely as you slaughter more enemies with Vincent. It is potentially the most powerful weapon in the game but takes an absurd amount of work to reach that point.
