So apparently today's seen a repeated barrage of topics about how EVIL pit bulls are, and a fair amount of users parroting it.

I've studied this for a while, and I've noticed that the people slamming Pit Bulls as evil seem to have an honest to god CONTEMPT for science and a cult like mentality that reaches Q anon levels of insanity. Pretty much every single mainstream animal welfare organization (and even the American Bar Association and CDC) have all said that Pit Bulls are no more dangerous than other dogs and that BSL is not only ineffective but needlessly cruel.

Opponents of Pitbulls usually just say that they're part of a pit bull lobby or a massive conspiracy, which is rather like Qultists.

At the same time, opponents of pit bulls on the other hand tend to rely on two people, Merritt Clifton and Colleen Lynn. Both of them essentially rely on media reports for their statistics......thing is numerous scientific journals have shown that contrary to what they claim it is VERY easy to misidentify a pit bull.

Both Lynn and Clifton have openly accused any mainstream scientific group of being paid off, when ironically they have their own share of fraud

Hilariously enough their own numbers work against them, since this graphic has shown that even if the media numbers WERE true it would STILL be a small drop of the total pit bull population

Frankly I suspect that the reason for these increase in posts is desperation. Around the country BSL laws are getting repealed without any of the predicted uptick in attacks, even in places like Denver (which BSL advocates loved to cite as a model). In short they know they're increasingly alone and that the rest of society sees their poison for what it is. As such they're flailing like angry children

And there are fair number of nitwits who honestly agree with him.

It's funny. I only found out about the movie A dog's journey home (a fairly standard movie) because the haters threw a bitchfit due to it portraying Denver's laws as cruel and stupid (the main villain is an obnoxious dog catcher who ultimately gets reassigned for being an overzealous jackass). The haters were NOT amused to put it mildly

Yeah, Looked_gf has admit that they actively search for Pitbull attacks, daily. It's the only topic they post.

And when they have none to post, they will instead bring up old topics that have already been covered just to rile people up. They're obsessed.

Even identifying pit bulls is hard. DNA testing has shown that visual identification alone is spotty. And since Merritt Clifton relies on the media admitting this kneecaps their case. BSL advocates are increasingly unhinged and they were always batshit insane

You are tricked by a fallacy. People who WANT a dog who will be guard dogs (at best) or vicious and terrible (at worst) will more likely get a pitbull due to their reputation. They then raise them poorly or to be killers and that is the result. This also unfortunately happens even with rescue dogs that have been treated poorly and are now with good owners.
