The Last of Us
The Evil Within 1 and 2
System Shock
Dead Space
Silent Hill
Limbo
etc.

All of these are nothing compared to the tension of seeing millions of goddamn murderous rats moving in 60fps like they're blasted on cocaine.

Fucking rats, man

The setting and atmosphere in that game was so good.

I don't even care about the lack of gameplay, it's still a 10/10 gaming experience.

The final boss is so wack i wasn't mad but more perplexed.

Story wise it's not that special but the atmosphere is top notch. If you want something similar with Better writing try pathologic 2

Not even a solid 10 minutes into the game for the devs to pull that gutpunch too.
Earlier segments also gave off COVID vibes.

I'm fucking impressed with how the game ran too. My PC is pretty average and even rat tornados didn't hit my FPS too hard.

It's odd that they then went on to make Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Ive been playing scary games since i was a little kid. And i can safely say that Visage is the only game to ever make me anxious playing it and legitimately scare me.

The game starts off intense AF with you shooting your wife and kids in the face and then braining yourself, and it goes downhill from there.

It plays on every single type of fear that a game can from cheap jump scares to super unsettling atmosphere and shit that will make you nearly hallucinate. Every little creak you hear will put you on edge, even when there is nothing that is a real threat to you around.

Then later in the game, you start to notice things watching you from around distant corners. Just a tiny bit of their face is peaking out and it dips as soon as you get a good look at it. Then you realize its probably been doing this to you since the beginning and you havent realized it until now.

Sounds ALOT like the Kojima Silent Hills' premise, which isn't a bad thing. I don't have the PC capabilities to play it in its ideal form or else I would've certainly heard about it and played it because I love that genre too :(

I will definitely put this on my Steam wishlist though so it's not forgotten

I think it's on PS4/XB1 as well so you can try those if you're unsure if your PC can run it.

I found it, but damn $35. All I can do is wishlist it and hope for a sale.
