I'm really honestly confused about what wearing a mask or not wearing a mask is supposed to mean now.

Obviously for a long time waring a mask meant you were a pro-science slut sheep but then the vaccinations started rolling out and then wearing a mask meant you were an anti-vaxx a-hole but now I don't knwo what they all mean.

Huh its almost like we jumped the gun and tried opening up too early. Just because people were clamoring for reopening doesnt mean we should have because this is exactly what happens. These people dont understand that long term well be having restrictions for longer if we keep trying to end the pandemic early.

We do need to be wearing the masks. The problem is that 99% of the population is going to refuse to ever use it again. I wear mine in the store, but Im almost the only person. What good does it do me if everyone else isnt wearing theirs? Not a whole lot.

The media outlets and social media allowed this to become politicized which is exactly what we needed to not do.

Being maskless early in 2020 meant you were a conspiracist or conservative brodude.

Being maskless in early 2021 then somehow became you are a science loving liberal and people wearing masks are now the conspiracists.

If going to like a concert, flying or anything else where a bunch of folks will be in an enclosed space, wearing a mask makes sense. If the density is pretty low it doesnt matter much if you do or dont.

Its the new strains that make me wear it. I stopped wearing mine once my family and I were fully vaccinated, but the vaccine doesnt work against the new strains.

You put enough ink on paper and you forget the purpose of the paper.

Masks have returned to their natural habitat as basic pieces of fabric that can help protect your lungs from harmful dust particles.

My family is vaccinated and I'm lucky that the Moderna vaccine I got seems to be mostly effective against the delta variant. Even then, I still wear my mask if I'm going into a crowded place like a grocery store just to be extra safe because...

Even if I'm vaccinated, a careless unvaccinated person not wearing a mask can give me the virus, and even if I don't have symptoms, I wear my mask so I don't unknowingly spread it to other people who are unvaccinated, can't get vaccinated because they're kids or immunocompromised, or got one of the vaccines that isn't as effective against the delta variant.

I actually care about the safety and wellbeing of other people around me, which is sadly very lacking in this country right now.

Literally happened on this site when people said you should still wear a mask even vaccinated despite CDC lifting restrictions.
