Its a topic thats relevant, cooled down, & extremely flexible. Great way to take your own temperature

one guy, PoundGarden, had some sort of traumatic experience involving a dog that may or may not have been a pit bull (at least, I'm assuming they didn't do a DNA test on it; without which you can't actually know the breed).

then he got it in his head that his experience was extrapolatable somehow, so he started frothing at the mouth about how all pitbulls are ticking time bombs or whatever. and because people on here love biological essentialism, it became trendy.

all this despite the complete absence of reliable data which suggests that:
1. pitbulls actually attack people more commonly than other dogs
2. pitbull attacks actually result in serious or lethal injury more commonly than attacks by other dogs

I dont actually gaf, but anyone who visits ce regularly should be able to connect the dots as to why this would be viewed as trolling, or at least intentionally making the board slightly shittier.

I come into these types of topics and just crack jokes without reading most of the thread, lol.

I personally feel like a certain criteria should be met before I respond genuinely, and most CE threads don't meet it. so... I just end up entertaining trolls until mods come spraying milk everywhere.

I don't hate pitbulls. I just like trolling pitbull owners who feel obligated to tell me how their pitbull is so great since they raised it right. Like, no shit. You could say the same about any dog.
