I started to reroll for this game but then I kinda gave up. I like Nier but I can never stick with these autoplay RPGs. They are too boring to actually play. I always end up quitting them after a few months. Only games I can actually stick with are games with gameplay I like. Like Arknights and Honkai Impact.

How many hours did you sink into that?

I just do the daily quests (about 15 minutes) and any new content, so most days is just 15 minutes (you can't really grind gems, doing new content is the only way to get more outside event item exchanges, but you get those items from doing the new content so it is just a bonus). I am sitting on over 900 pulls worth of gems currently. Unfortunately the next collab looks to just be NieR Automata again, so going to be saving gems for at least another month.

Stuck with this and actually enjoying it more than I thought it would. The story so far is pretty good (if the usual depressing Nier story) and combat is more involved than it seemed, albeit you can often just auto it - just need to set up with the right characters/weapons.

Need more Mama though :(

Damn, did 180 rolls and only got 2 4-star weapons. Ouch

I was finally able to get in after not being able to play all yesterday due to startup crash

But the exchange shop crash is still there so I just have a buncha points piling up and slowing my progress

Hope they figure this shit out soon

I got 2b and A2 on the very first pull, and then I used my pity on 2P. Idk if I should start over, but the event last for a month+ so I'd have time to catch up.

I heard dupes are more important because it allows your units to get to higher levels which will be needed for the upcoming events.

Ah, 3 4* units isn't so bad, as gives a full team at least. And yeah, dupes are good but from what I've read they give out enough to get 1/2 dupes a month so apparently not something to focus on at the start I guess.

But yeah, I'm struggling a bit on weapons as well. While more 4* than you, missing out on any 4* water/wind weapons but plenty of time to get them I guess.

The rates in this game are ripe booty. I got lucky after non-stop rerolling to pull 2p and A2 on the same banner. Been trying like hell to get 2b but it's looking like I'll have to pity her (about 4 more multis). Hopefully that trio will be enough to last me a while, because I feel like the free currency will be running dry pretty soon.

They are all on each others banners, just only "rate up" is a lie, on their specific one.

I don't know about the US, but lying about rates is a crime in Japan. They occasionally issue apologies and give out free stuff (usually a lot of free pulls or guaranteed rare) if there was an error in the rates for a banner.

"Rate up is a lie" is just a meme in gacha, as the odds are still stupid low.

Past the first few minutes there is an "auto" button for movement so it does it for you at least, so don't need to manually move. Save maybe occasionally stopping to gather collectables on your way.

If you don't like gacha things, a gacha game might not be for you though either way.
