I think I'll switch to open disdain. Coddling hasn't worked so why bother tiptoeing around them?

I only support it because they're the reason a vaccine resistant variant could emerge.

I don't care if they get covid-19 and whatever consequences come with that anymore.

I'm not sure engaging with either is that useful at this point. Either somebody in their life faces death and/or severe long term effects, or some previous anti vax person switches their tune and maybe they change their mind.

Wasnt there an antivaxxer that almost died from covid, but after recovering says he still wouldnt get the vaccine if he had the chance before getting covid. Ranting about some stupid agenda or something.

People remain stubbornly against it and insist their family don't get it as they die from Covid. Fuck every single anti vaxxer, but more importantly fuck the utter disgusting monsters who pushed it. Any public figure who has done so should be severely punished for all the deaths they have caused.

We cant keep coddling this next generation, millennials are being treated like boomers and Gen X has been completely ignored it seems. I think millennials are more willing to engage whereas GenX just accept theyre the new boomers.

One of my coworkers said her daughter works at a morgue and said that a lot of deaths are happening due to getting vaccinated. I did not even attempt to argue or refute, just kind of gave an "oh, really?" neutral response.

I think most of them are incredibly depressed in their own lives that they actually want things like covid to just kill them. And they put on that "tough" front to try and deflect from their own thoughts.

Nah, that analogy isnt comparable.

If you want to still use the reckless driving scenario, youd have to add something like the police arrest you and then inject you with a drug or decide to remove a body part, all against your consent.

again, i can't tell if you're being genuine or facetious here. that comparison is asinine because operating your toaster doesn't have a reasonable potential to harm others.

in the event you are sincere with this argument, then i assume you fully support the rights of every single business to make their own decision about what to require within the bounds of their own property. a true libertarian would fully support a business in making their own decisions about requiring vaccines, masks, distancing, or anything else they deem appropriate to ensure the success of their business.

I want them all to live long, happy, fulfilling, and free lives. I want everyone to experience that.

But that's impossible when some people act so recklessly, so selfishly, so thoughtlessly as to treat the prevention of deadly, contagious disease as an entirely personal choice that can't be challenged. That choice directly affects whether other people live or die, can work, are permanently harmed, etc. It's harming businesses, it's harming schools, it's harming society as a whole to choose not to get vaccinated.

For now, you have the right to refuse, but don't think for a second that people won't have a lot of negative things to say to willful plague vector.

Get the goddamn vaccine. It's fucking free and it could save a life, whether yours or someone else. If you can't do that for your fellow human being, don't be surprised if you're viewed as lower than pond scum.
