Yeah, I don't have the same patience for failure that I used to. Nowadays I lose interest in games the second a trailer uses the word "challenging" lol. Dunno how I even got to the first ending of Hollow Knight.

I used to when I was like, in elementary school. I've never broken any controllers, though. That doesn't make sense to me. I did come close to breaking cartridges though, which makes more sense because that's the actual game. The game isn't in the controller, so I dunno why anyone would get mad at the controller.

Yeah but the controller is already in your hand when the rage hits. I've never broken one myself though. Not through rage anyway. Just through overuse and QTE minigames that require intense control stick spinning lol.

So? The controller isn't what's pissing me off, it was the game. So many times 4th or 5th grade me would be playing Earthbound and I would get destroyed by some enemy's critical hit, and I'd go into a blood rage and push the eject button on the Super NES as hard as I could, and throw the cartridge into the side bedroom next to mine. Usually I wouldn't want the cartridge to take too much damage, and maybe land safely on a bed. Sometimes though, that thing would hit the wall, and I would quickly sober up for a moment, then start marching over to the cartridge mumbling to myself like, "I swear to god, that better not have erased my data. Look what you made me do to you!" and then pop it back in the SNES to make sure I didn't cause too much damage to it.

But those days were the last times I can remember being like that. I sort of mellowed out on video games when I got into middle school.

My friend has anger problems and grabbed his monitor off his desk and threw it, destroying his screen and graphics card. It was either a bad game of Counterstrike or Team Fortress 2.

I get angry sometimes, but nothing extreme. I haven't ever destroyed anything.

Sonic Adventure 2 cost me a couple controllers, but after that, I significantly chilled out. Nowadays I barely ever get mad enough to even react.
