I just don't think a comparison between gender dysphoria and eating disorders is inherently an invalid one? which is why I asked

Yeah in some ways. Comparing how they form and function is OK, comparing how they're treated is not.

Yeah, he's missing the key difference: that eating disorders are based in delusions, whereas gender dysphoria simply isn't.
They both hang out with anxiety and depression though. Anxiety is what I have in SPADES.

Some people don't get the fact that SRS isn't causing harm.

All aboard with you on the anxiety train, though I managed to stop it this morning before it spiraled into a panic attack!

There are some doctors who believe the same when talking about preteen girls wanting to transition to guys. They say it mimics the anorexia and cutting in the 90s

People on Twitter can be so toxic. I know that online comments have always been toxic (thinking about early YouTube comments) but its on another level on Twitter, where you can often see the people behind the keyboard, and the number of personal attacks is heavily increased
And there's a ton of ignorance out there. People mute opposing opinions and create an echo chamber so they never actually learn better.
