Does it ever put on high beams when low beams are more suitable?

I've never even heard of a car that will automatically put on high beams. That's always a manual toggle, even if the lights going on is automatic.

The "Auto Light" feature is to turn your daytime running lights to your regular headlights once it gets dark enough to necessitate them, not to switch from low to high beams in fog.

High beams aren't for fog.

Fog lights are for fog. High beams are for dark roads without oncoming traffic.

I misspoke, but the sentiment is the same.

Except for for maybe some very high end models, there are not cars with automatic high beams.

My car will activate high beams if there is nobody else and it's extremely dark
