EC sucks, it's been games for decades with gerrymandering allowing Republicans to draw the districts and ensure minority rule even in the state level. More than that, because of voter disenfranchisement you can't even say that the presidential election is reflective of the state, because of all those black-majority counties where there's 1 or less DMV, and rules banning early voting leaving them with only part of the day to get to a distantly placed polling location or their vote won't count.
Plus the fact that the Senate is disproportionately giving the minority (~30-40%) the majority rule of the country... Well.
