I don't understand how you don't understand that people will do whatever the F they want to? If they don't want to support a place that has terrible labor practices, that's their prerogative.

Not a good will, but there's a big thrift store in my area I like to go to. Sometimes I find good electronics.

Like I found a perfectly working Uninterruptible Power Supply that retails currently for 70 bucks for only 10!

Dude just called me a PoS because i shop at places he doesn't like. Sounds alot worse than what i just posted. I don't care about anyone's beliefs. I just don't understand the thinking aspect of it. There's a slight difference.

like 90% of our house is decorated with cool shit we found at goodwill. My closet is almost entirely goodwill clothes too.

We have a bunch of them in my city and a handful are in really good parts of town that donate all the good stuff

In grad school, me and my roommate went to a Goodwill furniture store where ultra-rich on Cape Cod donated their estate to.

We got a bar and chairs, sofa, and nick knacks that would have been valued at maybe $2K for about $275.

If you must go to a Goodwill, do it in a ritzy area.

I used to work at Goodwill. Because of how the company is set up, every Goodwill in each different state, and ON plus AB is run differently and semi-independent from eachother. So your shopping experience and working experience can be quite different from someone else in the next state over.

This was my latest pick up for 3 bucks each. Plus 20 percent off each

Damn this thread is taking me back. I enjoyed the crew I worked with, lots of fun. I still remember the donated mint condition N64, two controllers, and Mario Kart.

I've worked for GoodWill for the last 4-5 years. Actually on my last week of the two. And will begin doing a trade next week. Sometimes I'll go shopping there to buy clothes. Employees get a 20% discount, I merge it with a 25% coupon they give out to workers here and there.

We've thought about unionizing a few times due to the abhorrent practice of the labor/low pay. But a city next over tried that, and were all fired. The goodwill I work for has a practice, where if good money is coming in. Don't change a thing. I thought they might lose profits last year. But they actually gainer 20mil due to the E-commerce department.

I've been offered several manager promotions these last few months. Which is nice. But it's just time for me to get out, learn, and hopefully make a lot more money.
