1) that's not how vaccines work 2) people don't deserve a death sentence for being idiots (people with large platforms and politicians who spread disinfo are another story)

If somebody knowingly refuses the vaccine, I'm not going to root for them to die from COVID-19, but I ain't exactly gonna cry all the water out of my body if they do. At the very least, those who knowingly refuse pose a threat to my kids, who are too young to be vaccinated.

I've seen too many people die from their own stupidity of being anti vax to care anymore. I feel bad for the loved ones they leave behind and others they infect, but them themselves?

Nah, they made the choice and could have prevented countless deaths but refused to do so. I can understand feeling bad they were tricked by abhorrent shit stain con artists who should be locked up, but the actual reality of the situation and science has always been available to them. They simply chose to ignore it in favour of nurses and doctors stripped of their medical licences, calling for health care workers to be hanged.

So, the only real issue here is that, often times, it's not just the anti-vaxxers themselves who suffer for their idiocy.

Their children suffer. Their parents (maybe their immunocompromised, or maybe the anti-vaxxer now has power of attorney over them) suffer.

Also, I would be willing to bet that a non-trivial percentage of people haven't been able to get vaccinated because they can't potentially miss work due to the side effects. I was fine after I got both of mine, but one of my friends was completely wiped out for a few days.

Survivors of natural disasters aren't going to be spreading and mutating the disaster in the aftermath. If they refuse to get vaccinated, it's better off they die and we won't need to stay ahead and keep creating boosters for each new variant they keep manifesting. Dozens of anti-maskers holding signs with anti-vaxx and QAnon-adjacent conspiracy theories amassed on the sidewalk by the Cedars-Sinai Breast Health Services building on Thursday afternoon, and harassed patients and doctors.

In one exchange captured by local videographer Vishal Singh, a woman who has since publicly identified herself as Kate Burns, a cancer patient, approached the protesters and told them to leave.

Thursday was the second time that anti-maskers had targeted that particular breast cancer clinic over its mask policy. The ugly scenes and casual political violence that unfolded there on both occasions have become troublingly common across the U.S.

California in particular has emerged as a hotspot for that type of activity. Just last weekend, Proud Boy associates joined far-right conspiracy theorists outside Wi Spa in LAs Korea Town, as part of an ongoing protest against the spas nondiscrimination policy of accommodating the needs of transgender guests. Reporters at the scene of the spa were assaulted, dozens were arrested, and police later located weapons scattered across the site including knives, pepper spray and stun guns. A protest at the same location earlier this month resulted in two stabbings.

The Cedars-Sinai Medical Center did not immediately respond to VICE News inquiry about how they plan to expand their security protocol to protect patients and employees in the future.

The first time I really noticed this trend of people having circle jerks over deaths of ideological "enemies" was when Total Biscuit died. TB could certainly be an ass at times and he had some bad takes but the joy some people took in his death always struck me as crazy. He wasn't like a pedo or a dictator or something, he was just a grumpy brit that rambled about games and the gaming community. And things have only gotten more extreme since then. What an ugly way to behave.

I find it really odd I work with a guy who spews anti vax shit including the conspiracy theory stuff yet he was among the first at my job to get it. Then him and I got called into the nurses station one day cause our job gives the hepatitis vaccine for free as well and it was our turn. He started bitching he didnt like things being injected into him cause he didnt know what was in it. Nurse told him he didnt have to get it but he said "nah I'll take it"

Like I cant wrap my head around the guy. Hes pretty weird in general
