Almost always. There are some exceptions, aside from the obvious of when USA isn't competing.

I don't root for any particular country. I watch everyone with the same level of respect and enthusiasm, I want to see the best I the world win regardless of where they're from

Yes. Was excited to see Slovenia win in men's basketball against Spain the other day though. As a Mavericks fan I was pulling for Luka. But if they face the US I'm pulling for team USA.

Canadian with American family so usually one of the two, or the underdogs. That dude from Tunisia winning gold was cool.

I cheer for Japan primarily. Out of respect for my family I support China if Japan isn't competing, but I will never support China over Japan.

Been cheering for pretty much any USA since I started watching the Olympics in 2008 (I get really happy when USA gets Gold or really any medal too). I must admit tho, Bolt was pretty easy to root for as non-USA.
