I value shampoo. Definitely like how my hair is the day after shampooing than when I don't use it.

People who are used to daily bathing will naturally produce more oils on their skin and hair to compensate for having it cleansed off so often. Leave it for one day and there's too much oil because that's what your body is used to doing.

It makes sense for those who think it's disgusting to not bathe daily to think this.

If you start leaving baths for longer, you start producing less oil to replace the stuff you've been washing off every day. For those who bathe every day and wish to transition, it absolutely needs to be a gradual process so that your body can adapt to it.

That being said, it's a lot better for your skin and hair to bathe less often, because when you're bathing often, you're constantly scrubbing off the outermost protective layers (thinning the skin) and basically having less protection against germs. I actually had a problem with my skin well into my adulthood until I realized this, and now my skin is a whole lot better.

The same actually goes for hair washing, as I've noticed some people who obviously wash their hair too often and/or rinse with hot water having dry crinkly hair. In contrast, my hair is actually really soft and shiny because I don't wash it every single day, and also rinse with cooler water.

The thing people should take into consideration is:
Like everything else in life, do things in moderation. Don't bathe too often because you're basically ripping "healthy" layers off and allowing germs easier access. BUT also DO bathe once in a while (not "never"), or when situationally necessary (such as being unexpectedly sweaty/dirty, or if the climate dictates that you must).

This is probably a sign that California is going to restrict water soon. State is the frontrunners for saving mother Earth.

Guys do your part to save the earth. Stop literally killing future generations by shower daily.

Honestly just as bad as anti-vaxxers

It takes me between 15 and 20 minutes to shower. I wash my armpits, and groin/ass areas multiple times, and the rest of my body thoroughly.

It does actually. Daily showering is bad for your hair and dries it out.
unless you're using scalding hot water or bathing in a chlorinated pool its not going to do damage to it. your hair naturally produces oils that protect it from water damage, its the shampoo that strips the oil out of your hair that causes the issues.
