Surskit... Surskit is pathetic. It's stats leave a lot to be desired. It's only decent stat is Speed and even then, it's not anything to talk about. It's Abilities require Rain to be setup which wouldn't be too bad if it wasn't so frail that a slight breeze could knock it over and even having access to Eviolite barely helps. It's movepool is also pretty underwhelming. It does manage to get Hydro Pump and Lunge which could help it but it's attacking stats aren't great either.

Whirlipede on the other hand... is still fairly pathetic but at least it's got some defensive stats to actually help it along. It's Speed Boost ability allows it to outspeed Surskit after a turn. While Rollout is it's only Super Effective move against Surskit, it can use Double-Edge and Return to knock Surskit about.

Whirlipede is just leaps and bounds better than Surskit wishes it could be.

Is that the real sound or some sort of Gura reference?

Neither have access to super effective move against the other, Whirlipede can use a STAB effectively with Poison Jab while also inflicting the poison status, Surskit can STAB with Scald inflicting burn status and cutting Whirlipede's attack power in half.

As Surskit is faster,if it can inflict a burn on Whirlipede with a first turn Scald, then Surskit could win on the second turn, otherwise Whirlipede inflicts poison status with Poison Jab and wins on turn two. If neither can inflict a status effect on the other, it's going to turn three and Surskit's lack of defence and attack power will be it's downfall, giving Whirlipede the win.

I went with Whirlipede because there is only a 30% chance that a status effect will be inflicted from either attack; seven times out of ten Whirlipede will win, but those other three times, Surskit inflicts the burn, halving the damage taken from Poison Jab and inflicting additional damage each turn.

funnily enough even with a burn whirl still has a 20% chance to kill with 2 burnt jabs and surskit even with burn damage has only a 70% chance of knocking whirl out with the 2 scalds

Yep, a total uphill battle that's reliant too much on chance; is it possible for Surskit to win, yes, it's just a statistical improbability.
