Even if you don't listen to lossless directly they can be good to have as a backup source, in case you ever wanted to create a new lossy version for any reason. Occasionally I may notice a particularly egregious case in my lossy collection and recreate the file with better settings.

To be fair, 320 kbps is kinda midtier... I can't tell 480 and FLAC apart though

Define "better". Lossless takes up way more space than 320k and the difference in quality is barely perceptible if at all.

I agree, except in the case of 320k vs. FLAC the difference is negligible and doesn't justify 3x the storage space, in my opinion. How does this compare to the 60fps argument, and what exactly is the 60fps argument?

Oh, the 60fps argument is that normal people can't see over 60fps so why get a 144hz monitor?
