They gotta step it up with VR (which admittedly they have backpeddled on lambasting it) ~ and show a little more love for previous generations (a practice which was extremely beloved during the PS3 era, and yielding all sorts of great remakes/remasters/retro titles, etc) ~ or Im gonna jump ship harder than I already have. Lol

Some of their PR from last year or the year before last continues to bug me along with the lineup for the most part.

Imagine a well-established rock star explaining to you how pop music owns the industry & it might be a good idea to do a pop album.

Eh either way i prefered the 360. Metal gear solid 4 was the only exclusive they had I wanted to play. Thank god they had it on ps4 ps now.

Well, by last few years I mean like the last 4 or 5 years of the gen. 360 had a lot of damage done to it because of the RRoD and PS3 dropped its price with the slim so it started outselling 360 around the world. 360 was only really doing better in the US, IIRC.

I went through 3 myself (I only paid for one myself though) none of them actually got rrod but crapped out for other reasons like one the disc reader quit working. My last one still works great though. Guess that last model that looks kinda like the Xbox one fixed all the issues previous models had

How did Nintendo win PS1, 2 and 4 era? All of those have outsold the Wii which is Nintendo's best selling console. You're also counting the Switch as part of the current gen too?

Every console that comes out is years behind the best PCs in graphics, features, mods

And the PC library Is constant

Bruh the PS5 has only been out for 8 months and its sold out within seconds when they actually are in stock. Target and Walmart have backstock of Nintendo Switches. Dont act like a stupid graph you could have easily faked is fooling anyone.

Of lites maybe I rarely see a regular switch at my local walmart. Think i saw 1 for the first time in over a year last week.

The short life of the Wii U really muddied all of that. The Switch came in as a replacement and competed with the ps4/pro and the Xbox One's updated models. It's still Nintendo's current console that'll be competing with the PS5 and X Series.

Last I knew, Nintendo was worth $80b or so and Sony worth $45b or so.

MS dropped a couple months profit on Zenimax. They've invested in cloud streaming and upgraded all the blades with Series X units. They're not going anywhere. With around 25million Gamepass subs, at the conservative end of the estimate, that's around $150 - $200million income every month from GP alone.

Yes, but I wouldn't consider it part of this gen though. It's a last gen console Nintendo is using to compete with current gen consoles at the moment. I thought the general consensus was Wii U was considered part of PS3/360/Wii and Switch was them finally making something for the PS4/Xbone gen.

Yeah thing people tend to forget is Sony bleeds money in other departments. Nintendo does pretty much just video games. Make em cheaper and sell them for the same price therefore turning a larger profit. They also keep their games full price for much longer. So even more profit.

Why do scalpers buy stuff? To re-sell at higher value, scalpers wouldn't be buy them fast enough nine months after release if it wasn't if they weren't able to sell re-sell at higher value.

I know that's what they are more likely to do. But felt both marvel and Sony got a little childish with their negotiations on marvel using him.

Edit: I did like into the spider verse though. But thats easy to overlook since it wasnt live action.

Resident Evil 4 (which btw plays amazingly on the wii)
Okami
Metroid Prime 1
Xenoblade Chronicles

Obviously quite a few of them moved to other platforms, but they were great titles for the wii.

You dont know how much SCE is worth. Let alone Sony itself. How their shares are divided. Etc. Youre linking me to a smear news story from like 2010, no? Calculating the exact profit a company is turning on their console is extremely complicated, also because Sony acts as a publisher. Theres a good reason PC (and now Xbox) gets laughed at for their exclusives.

When we are resorting to accusing Sony of holding them hostage, I think the situation becomes rather clear.......
