Im glad you asked, let me explain as a veteran to you

The TLDR of it; The anthem represents the sacrifice of soldiers in service to the nation and two its freedoms, and unless there is a foreign competing team at play, or unless there is and important dignitary, or if it is done to Xpress sympathy for a suffering nation that is not hostile to us, it is otherwise disrespectful to play another nations anthem in lieu of the official national anthem.
Our nation does have a proud history, making it worthy of its own national anthem. Ours is a nation forged in war and conflict.

You might disagree with our legacy, you might go on some triad about racism, or about imperialism, or some other rhetorical diatribe against the military. But the fact is that a lot of people are extremely narrow minded when it comes to those subjects, and are often the kinds of people who come to Charlie Kirk talks with their cell phone in hand with a pre-scripted shark shot question about how they justify something, when they have never done any research for themselves.

When Francis Scott Key originally wrote the poem Defence of Fort M'Henry which became the lyrics for the anthem, he was standing on a British ship bombarding Fort McHenry, and was impressed with the site of The national flag when it had 15 stars, As it translucently shone amidst the bombardment.
It evolved from A simple tune which preceded anthems like hail Columbia and my country tis if thee, And was made National anthem by law under President Herbert Hoover.

Initially there was no set custom of behavior, except that the military should stand and salute the flag when the anthem plays. And anybody else should at least take off their hats.

It does not matter if the law and everything illegal literature defines it as free-speech, It doesnt matter if anyones opinion about our country has to devolve into diatribes of racism and oppression because they cant reconcile themselves with it, it doesnt matter if you didnt serve or didnt ask others to serve your country for you, it especially doesnt matter or if Colin Kaepernick was told by a Navy seal that he should kneel for the anthem as a sign of protest It is still as disrespectful to those of us who have made that sacrifice for their country as it would be disrespectful to sing something like Dixie land at the funeral of a civil rights activist, or to step on the flag of an Islamic theocratic nation. If you are playing at an American venue, or at an American game between two American contenders, it is neither respectful nor of any sense to play the national anthem of any other country. If the Olympics were being held in the United States, the courteous thing to do would be to play the American national anthem first.

Every Servicemember is different in their preference across the board. But the reason to be respectful regardless of what they might think is that and unlike the stereotype that is awesome painted of the military, not every servicemember is a violent killer who hunger is for blood; that would be like saying every African-American is a black panther wanting to rape and kill white people. Unless the anthem follows a competing nation, It is no less ignorant or disrespectful even, to play someone elses anthem as a spit on our own.

That doesnt mean that there arent good reasons to play anothers anthem for which we need to be unreasonable. Take for instance the anthem of France After the major terrorist attack A few years ago, it might be seen as a sign of reverence and sympathy to that nations plight to play their anthem, The same as it was on Facebook for people to change the filter on their photos to that of the French flag. The same can also be said in cases where there are important allied dignitaries visiting the United States, were playing their countries anthem is done as a gesture of respect and good relations.

But beyond that If you replace the anthem with that of another nation, or if you substitute it with a song that isnt THE official national anthem It is disrespectful

I don't entirely understand what you're trying to actually say aside from that the national anthem is good and criticising it is bad and happens because people know nothing. Could you please attempt to be coherent?

I'd mostly like to say that other countries don't feel the need to remind everyone how proud they should be before every single sporting event. I really don't understand it especially given it's a mediocre anthem. At least it's not God Save the Queen.

And another thing to add about the history of national anthems: they're literally just songs. They aren't sacred or anything, they're usually just local songs which were then used for sporting events. Almost none are about taking pride in soldiers and stuff like that. It's literally just an American thing and playing an anthem is almost never actually about the military. The only reason you feel this way is because America is essentially one big well-oiled military machine, because this isn't really a big thing outside of aggressively militaristic countries.

Honestly surprised it's not copy pasta

I'll tell you what. When the Olympics drop Hitler's lighting of the torch from their opening ceremonies, America can drop the racist's poem that a racist president turned into America's national anthem.

Herbert Hoover.

From Wikipedia,

Views of race
Hoover was known to hold racist attitudes towards black and mixed-race people. Many of his black contemporaries considered him a racist with W. E. B. Du Bois charging him as an "undemocratic racist who saw blacks as a species of 'sub-men'".[273]
