It's still in my backlog too. I've heard that the story and characters are good (for Tales), but the combat is the same as Zestiria's. I think it's set in the same world as Zestiria too, but during a different period.

Yes, it's one of my favorite games. The story and characters are super good.

Yeah, it takes place 1000 years before Zestiria. So if you've already played Zestiria, you can see some connections here and there.

Edit: checked out a video and it certainly looks better.

For me, the strength of the characters elevate this game the most. It was also one of the easiest ones for me to get the hang of combat and how the upgrades work.

Mapseh. Graphicseh. Musiceh. Combatfun as hell. Castwhat a helluva good game! Some really smart dialogue writing. Really liked it.
