We never should have repealed the mask mandates. The government should have told us that we could only stop the mask mandates once we reached like 80% vaccination rate. Giving people the choice to not get a vaccine for a deadly virus, which has been heavily politicized, was not smart and now we are dealing with the consequences of trusting the general public to not be morons.

What were the hospitalization numbers at the height of the pandemic? I would assume having half the population vaccinated would lower the hospitalization rate somewhat from its peak.

Theres just no care factor for the virus. Anyone against lockdowns and vaccines has contributed to a mountain of corpses and it was almost completely avoidable. Why arent people being held accountable and tried as the bioterrorists they are? You see people at the absolute most get slaps on the wrist. Imagine if Hitler was given 1 year prison for his crimes. Bin Laden was killed on sight for less.

Its really weird to hear people from different states giving their take on this. My state was in lockdown mode. The only places open were grocery stores, liquor stores, and drive-through food. People were discouraged from even leaving their house. Bars were closed, nobody had a haircut for a month, etc..

Then some peoples states didnt even do that. You could go sit down at a restaurant, without a mask, and eat. Bars were open without capacity limits. My states governor did a great job for about 3-4 weeks and then his political donors (business owners) made him cave and open things back up.

I remember Walmart employees pleading with the public during the pandemic to stop using it as a hangout. Apparently, people were hanging out all day there just to get out of the house. During the pandemic, I didnt even step foot inside a store.

Eventually you come to realize most of society is just structured around good will.

You'll stress at the thought of stealing from walmart until you do it and realize how numbingly easy it is the more affluent the area you do it in is.

These people got empowered to be as selfish as they desire with zero shame and no one is stopping them.

Saw the other day that Israel had covid cases too. Like almost 5.2 million have the vaccine of the countrys population of like 9million.

Gotta vaccinate, mask up properly, social distance, and keep commercial business pandemic restrictions active for a bit more longer than we all want tbh

We recently had quadruple digit cases here in Hawaii for the first time everand people still yell at me because their vacation needed to be postponed because they were too fucking stupid to follow the directions to get a quarantine exemption :<

I only feel bad for the indirect deaths, those people with heart attacks or in car accidents who could had a hospital bed if not for all the dumb unvaccinated covid people taking up all the space there.
