Well the government experimented on and tortured black people so naturally many POC would be skeptical of a vaccine. It is our shit governments job to convince them to be vaccinated.

Because they've tied it to their pride and ego. Talk to them enough and they will eventually just start saying, "I don't like being told what to do (by people I don't like).". So they will hurt themselves and others to avoid the humiliation and wound to their ego that admitting they were wrong would inlict.
Generally speaking, there are really only two sets of motivations for reactionaries:
Pride/Ego, which fuels clinging to conspiracies.
Fear/anger/disgust, which they rationalize and foment.
.
Usually it's a combination of the two groups. Anti-vaxxing is a good example of the combination, with a plethora of facets from fearmongering about autism or whatever nation or ororganization a given treatment comes from, to a refusal to admit they are wrong after every single argument they use to rationalize their irrational belief is dismantled.

Irrational beliefs tend to cascade on each other. If you are an anti-vaxxer, you are statistically more likely to be into "alternative medicine" and such. And if you are, you're more likely to take people in your social circles at their word on medical issues than trust an actual professional, because professionals are usually seen as being part of a conspiracy.

Yep, no amount of facts can break through the inherent distrust people have on the issue. People love voting for a government that abuses them, then getting mad about it, but only mad about the rare efforts to actually help. They still love the abusive aspects (see: blue lives matter)

There are 2 main things the people I work with say that they refuse to get it. 1 they think it will control them or change them some how. 2 they think there is aborted babies in it.

There is actually a minuscule nugget of truth in this one: Roughly 50 years ago, stem cells from an aborted fetus were collected and used in vaccine research. That cell line has been perpetuated ever since, and used in the development and sometimes production of many vaccines (and other drugs). Specifically, that cell line was used in developing and testing the mRNA vaccines and in producing the J&J one. None of the final products contain any of the cells themselves, however.

Obviously, making use of an immortal cell line that came out of one aborted fetus 50 years ago is very, very different from the pearl-clutching "they just throw the babies in a blender and inject them into us!" sort of image people freaking about about this conjure, but it is accurate to say that stem cells from an aborted fetus have been used in creating the vaccines. Personally, I have absolutely no difficulty concluding that it is more moral to use cells from this one fetus that was already aborted anyway (that is, it was not aborted for the purposes of medical/pharmaceutical research) 50 years ago to save an incalculable number of lives through the resultant vaccines and other drugs than it would be to destroy that cell line and never use it again, but I do think it's important to have a complete, honest understand of what's happening instead of skipping the details to convince people of that conclusion.

... because they clearly don't want it. Some actually believe vaccines are pointless for many reasons. In COVIDs case you can still get COVID even when vaccinated so some use that as a reason. What I don't get the most is why you care so much about what other do to their own body and why you think folk must justify their own person choices to you. In reality they don't need to tell you shit as it's none of your business.

It becomes other peoples business when it infringes on freedoms. People cant get life saving care right now because the whole health system is so overwhelmed by so many unvaccinated people. Misguided or not theyve decided to side with the virus. Im done feeling any empathy for people too selfish to get a simple shot.

I think that knowing someone isn't vaccinated is good to know if I might need to be near them. But at least, like most anti-vaxxers, you already give people enough reason to want to avoid you

I mean, most governments are looking at ways to either encourage people to get vaccinated or restrict those that don't (or both, in many cases), so clearly the efforts of people that agree with me to convince others of my position are succeeding in creating the political will to do what needs to be done. You can stick your fingers in your ears and babble on about how it's "none of my business" all you want. You're not going to become any more right, and you're not going to do anything to stop what needs to happen.

Do you ask everyone you see if they have had the vaccine? It would be amusing if you did. Also you not being around me sounds like a good deal as people who assume things, throw around words and stick their nose where it doesn't belong generally are not people I want to be around.

Out of curiosity, do you believe that criminal transmission of HIV should be a charge that exists or not? I've certainly never seen you argue against it.

Given the history of governments, distrusting them is justifiable.

Well POC like Japan have less people vaccinated on average than the United States. https://graphics.reuters.com/world-coronavirus-tracker-and-maps/countries-and-territories/japan/
POC are more afraid of the vaccine and it is up to the global government like the UN to help inform and deescalate tensions
