Lack of dialogue was definitely the right decision considered that's no change for most of them.

"Being generous" just meant that the story managed to outshine some of its flaws with its highlights in a way that made me not care about said flaws even though I recognize them.

Also this. The story is clearly made for people that have some basic knowledge about the universes and taking advantage of this in the most fanservice filled franchise in existence is not something I'm gonna rate it lower for.

I never really mind when games attempt to tell story without dialogue. If anything, it's ambitious because you have to get creative to make sure the audience follows what's going on.
