I remember those kids talking about how they would last a lifetime or could play any game ever and blah blah blah. In reality they were just a mid-high end prebuilt with a fancy case and 300% markup. Even better were the days of the early 2000s when people who do "rate my build" topics where people would take screenshots of alienware prebuilts with all the most expensive options selected, and shit like 2 years of norton and microsoft office to inflate the price. My dad bought me an Alienware laptop (pissed my mom off so bad >_>), thing worked wonderfully for two years or so and then it just ... crapped itself in a really weird way. The GPU worked like molasses in certain games, and the computer itself could not recognize more than one disc per start-up, regardless if it was swapping physical discs or swapping discs on an emulated drive.
