That's fucking stupid and will push people like myself to go watch movies somewhere else online. And what if we want to rewatch it multiple times? gotta pay each time?

It's somewhere between the price of 2 and 3 tickets at a theater and you can watch it as much as you want.

You can wait a month or 2 and then watch them just for the subscription price

Yea but HBO Max lets you watch blockbusters with just the subscription fee. Were already paying monthly for the service. $30 is a bit excessive.

Three choices. Go to the theater pay the money to stream it now or wait until it's out for regular streaming services. Pick one

^ I expect that to change down the line as they already pick and choose what to stream

It's really not that long of a wait before they hit the service without the extra fee.

Yeah, it's unnecessary when others are including it in the price. But I've still been paying since at least 2 people watch and it's definitely less than tickets.

I actually liked the earlier pandemic model where they just released the movie on the platforms (iTunes, Google Play, Amazon Video, Vudu, etc) for $30 to buy. That's where I buy and redeem my digital stuff anyway.

Their reasoning is that more than one person can watch it when you pay that. Disney films are seen as family films and $30 is the price of two tickets already. Parents end up saving a lot of money.

it's so weird to me that people complain about this. big budget blockbusters have never been free immediately to streaming pre pandemic. and none will ever be again after the end of this year

this is literally how every movie ever has always been barring extreme circumstances
