It has no real graphical improvements outside of a resolution bump and slight texture improvements. No improvements in lighting, particle effects, weather, anything.

Basically all you get is that and the fact that the near-instantaneous load times from the PS4 version are now instantaneous on the PS5.

And it somewhat makes use of the haptic feedback and adaptive trigger features on the DualSense.

It's obvious that Sony changed their mind on crossgen games in the last few months.

Sackboy and Miles Morales had free upgrades
Next gen only games are $70
Forbidden West and God of War Ragnarok got delayed from 2021 to 2022
No next gen games due after Returnal. Combine that with the above and there's no $70 game from Sony for at least a year probably.
They scramble and tried to remove upgrade paths completely for Forbidden West. Backfires and they 'compromise' for $70 crossgen games with $10 upgrade fee

Sony know they're not offering good value. They don't care.

Most of the upgraded games are pretty big upgrades.

yeah I thought it was kinda taking the piss that they put out a 60fps patch for free and then charged for a "next gen upgrade" too

The one thing I'll hand this game is that even the "Resolution" mode stays at 60 fps the vast majority of the time.

Makes me wonder if they actually could have pushed for a 120fps "Extreme Performance" mode (or whatever they'd want to call it) to try to show off the 900H TVs lol.
