Ive had my braces for a year and a half now. My front 2 teeth are not even, the front left tooth is a tiny millimeter in front of the front right tooth. Ive mentioned it, theyre still not aligned. 2 months ago I developed a cross bite, how the hell does that happen? She took off the blue colored rubber band that tightens all my front teeth together and the cross bite went away, but that then created a large gap between my front left tooth and the tooth right next to it, the one right by the canine. So now I have a gap on that one side looking like an idiot.

today she tells me theyre putting the rubber band thing back on that sticks on all the front teeth and itll fix that gap. Ive had it on for 6 hours now and my cross bite is back.

what is going on? I paid this lady an extreme amount of money for this and I really dont think she knows what shes doing. Or it might be her assistants that are fucking it up. Either way Im very upset and I dont know what to do or say to her. When I see other peoples braces on social media, their teeth are perfectly aligned and look nice. What is the problem here with mine? My teeth werent even that bad in the first place!

But is this normal?? All the problems Im having?? I want someone with experience with braces to tell me if this is all normal I seriously need to ask for a refund and go elsewhere

How jacked up were your teeth before?

If they were twisted or crooked before, they may need to align your teeth before making them completely straight.

Yeah if your teeth were a mess before this is kinda expected, until how long do you have your braces?

Not jacked up at all honestly. I had obvious things that needed fixing but this is insane.. Cross-bite developing during braces??

I couldve been just happy without the braces. And in some respect I wish I wouldnt have gotten them because now Im worried about how the final result is going to be and if shell fuck something up like leaving me with uneven front 2 teeth or a small cross bite or gaps anywhere.
