I eventually did buy it using the cash back on my credit card, and ended up playing it for four hours straight after getting it on Monday. Pretty good so far.

I had a pretty big Shadowverse phase where I nearly climbed into Masters, but now all my cards are out of rotation and apparently the game has power crept beyond what I feel like I'd recognize. This could be a really great way to dive back into it! I wonder if there's any chance it comes to PC later, though - I've got so much muscle memory built up for queueing up my turns.

I've been running Havencraft mainly but Runecraft is hilarious when everything pans out with spellboost so I might switch over.

I also love how absolutely annoying Forestcraft can be, even when I'm on the receiving end.

I've put at least 75 hours in the game and I haven't finished the post-game stuff. There's just so much stuff in the game with the main storyline, social links, side quests and puzzle duels. A good amount of time was spent on retrying duels though because the AI can be brutal. It usually has the right cards at the right times and never seems to have a bad hand or brick.
