intercepting flight 93 that crashed in shanksville pennsylvania on 9/11. If, they were ordered by their superiors to crash into the airliner if they could catch up to it? I have read varying accounts of this. The fighter pilots iirc say they were ordered to do it. But iirc not much more information has been said on this subject. If you didn't know they were not armed with missiles or anything at the time that they were ordered to intercept flight 93. This has come up because that would have been their only option to stop the airliner

i'm not sure, by the accounts of most of the fighter pilots , they were given that order. But i have never heard any of their superiors say the same thing
