insomniacRA 09/16/21 5:01:34 PM #1:	I've seen Bosch, White Collar, Chuck, Entourage, Black Mondays, House Of Lies, Succession, Billions, Silicon Valley, Season 5 of Rick and Morty, Red Oaks, Alpha House, Goliath, The Mentalist, Sneaky Pete. All in the span of 3 months. These are all 4/5 or 5/5 rates shows on Amazon and HBO. I'm out of shows to watch and my dopamine level is depleting to "buy more booze" levels. Maybe its the background music that's throwing me off, but the killings do not reflect the overall tone of the show. I'm left confused on what to feel as an audience. Am I supposed to feel frightened? Full of suspense? I don't get what's going on and Billy Bob Burton doesn't come as convincing a sociopathic killer. The actor doesn't have enough "natural craziness" coming out from his dialogue; he plays a better role as a drunken lawyer in Goliath. Going to check out Board Walk Empire next. I think what it did at the time for tv is bigger than the actual show. The shows it inspired had much better pacing imo. If I was there at the time at the right age, Id probably think much different. But I dunno if I'll give it a second try. I got like 3 seasons in before I just got bored. I probably will eventually.
