how did humans advance this far in such a short time span? what was the catalyst? for 3000 years we were fucking around living in our shit huts drilling holes in our skulls to let the demons out then the 20th century happened

Its old news. This could replace the battery though. Perpetual motion = perpetual energy

The industrial revolution and machines being able to be used to create more advanced machines more quickly made development speed up rapidly.

scientists were able to create the time crystal for roughly 100 seconds
That's all you need to know. It destabilized and stopped within two minutes.

This tendency for disorder to grow explains a lot of things, such as why it's easier to stir ingredients into a mixture than it is to separate them out again, or why headphone cords get so tangled in pants' pockets. It also sets the arrow of time, with the past universe always more ordered than the present; watching a video in reverse, for instance, is likely to look strange to you primarily because you're witnessing the counterintuitive reversal of this entropic flow.

i hate articles written about physics by people who don't understand physics

Bizarre states that seem to defy entropy do exist in nature, occasionally taking a very long time to wind down.

Agriculture. Once they realized you could grow food in the ground they stopped migrating around as much and stuck to one place. It gave them a lot more free time where they could start experimenting with things. That's the BASIC answer.

The slightly more detailed answer is that someone figured out beer, and realized you can stay in one place and cultivate grain, to make the beer.
