It's not as overwhelming as people make it out to be. In fact, I'd even go so far as to say it's pretty linear. When you start, the water flow in the temple only goes one way, meaning in the large turbine chamber you only have two rooms you can enter. One almost immediately brings you back to the turbine room, so just follow the second one and use the pipes as a guide to get yourself started.

I hate it even on replays where I'm almost 100% on what to do and things to avoid.

I think people mostly hate that you are required to collect every fairy from it to unlock the best sword in the game.

?

If you're referring to the Gilded Sword, that's obtained in the mountain. If you're referring to the Great Fairy Sword, that's obtained in the canyon. Great Bay has the double defense.

Great Bay is my favorite temple in MM. You just follow the pipes the whole time and you're set. Plus you can be a Zora. The only part that sucks is switching between arrows to freeze and unfreeze streams to move those see-saw platforms.

I think it's my least favourite dungeon in the series. On my first playthrough after getting the ice arrows I noped out and went to the desert.

MM:
90% of (non-transformation) masks are useful only once or twice.
Worst dungeons in the 3D series.
3-day reset mechanic is obnoxious for gameplay and story reasons.
Too many reused assets make the game look sloppy, cheap, and rushed.
Save system is ass.

SS:
Shit controls regardless of system or control scheme. When a game can't even control correctly literally nothing else it does right or wrong matters.

I liked it too. There werent many of them, but I think Majoras Mask had the most complex dungeons out of the entire series. People saying they were bad probably just thought they were too hard lol

that's a good dungeon actually, it just takes a really really long time to finish
