Yes No Do you agree that Sean Connery's Bond was a rapist? - Results (38 votes) Yes 47.37% (18 votes) 18 No 52.63% (20 votes) 20 No Time To Die Director, Cary Fukunaga referred to Sean Connery's James Bond was basically a RAPIST in an interview he did stating in the 1965 bond film when James met Patricia Fearing, played by Molly Peter who rejects his advances and pushes him away but then forcibly kisses her!! Later she begs Bond not to tell her boss about something as she would lose her job and he says "Well, i suppose my silence could have a price" She backs away and says "You don' tmean..oh no!" and he says "oh, yes" before pushing her into a steam room and took her clothes off Fukunaga told the Hollywood Reporter "Is it thunderball or Goldfinger where like basically Sean Connery's character rapes a woman. She's like, no no no and he's like, yes yes yes. That wouldn't fly today". He wanted to empower the female characters in this movie and give them equity and says he would like to see a FEMALE BOND one day although Daniel Craig, in his last outing as Bond in this film asks why there should be a female bond and belives in keeping the character male.
