If he makes it to Monday he'll be a 33 day champion.

Think he can do it?

He went over a million dollars tonight how much more does he need to win to take the lead?

Matt Patt deserves it more.

(He keeps vying for his bid in his videos and I don't care much about the TV show)

Matt is still a far cry from over taking James or Ken on total winnings. The two of them have won about 2.5 mil each

Well, it's exciting because we can see people beat old records.

This is games won, not total winnings in normal games. He needs another $1.5m to beat Jeopardy James in winnings, and then like $100k more to beat Jennings. (And then for lifetime winnings, he'd need another $3.6m to beat Brad Rutter -- Rutter is the top overall winner, but that's mostly via tourney money. However, it's worth noting that Brad's run was back when normal games were capped at five consecutive wins.)

However, in terms of games won, James is only at 32 wins (yes, THIRTY-TWO wins) whereas Jennings was like 74. Basically James won almost as much as Jennings in under half as many games, which is why he set all ten of the single-day records.

Ill never look at Matt Patt the same after he made that video about Ronnie committing suicide where he acted like a lizard-man.

There's something weird going on with Matt I swear. He buzzes in. Then it's like he doesn't know. Then he answers and gets it right. And a lot of times I feel like he's giving a partial answer but it gets accepted anyway.

Top 3 for consecutive wins and normal game cash winnings. Not ranked for overall earnings.

It's an exciting time, though. He stands a reasonable chance of being top 2 for consecutive wins, but he's nowhere near normal game cash winnings.

He's probably buzzing on reaction (there's a light the audience can't see that tells the contestants when they can buzz) and then doing memory recall techniques in the time he has for his answer.

That's why he starts every response with "What's?" It gives him a little extra time to think of an answer instead of thinking what word to use.

Matt's betting has been strange at times. Sometimes he bets and loses tens and thousands of dollars and other times he bets too conservatively

The crazy part about James' run was like the daily record before he showed up was like $72k? And James averaged that.

That's why they called him "the High Roller" on the Chase (and also because they stupidly couldn't call him "Jeopardy James" for whatever reason).

He set all *ten* of the current daily records.

Not even half, iirc. But that's less about Matt than it is about James. Honestly, Matt's daily averages are probably pretty close to Ken Jenning's.

Matt is extremely unlikeable and legitimately creeps me out. He seems like the kinda guy who would corner you at a party so he can whip out his phone and show you all his favorite Youtube videos.

You're describing an odd behavior, but not really a creepy one >_>
