I legit look at that controller and wonder how the hell I played with that thing. It's just unwieldy compared to the gamecube controller, I loved that thing

Yeah, and thanks to that, the game will never be rereleased.

They could at least change the controls that required you to rotate the stick.

I rember blockbuster gave out special gloves just for that.

I bet those are worth a few bucks now.

Imagine if you tried that with a joycon. That stick would be so fucked.

I had the same experience with Sonic Riders. Every track has an automated section where you spin the control stick to refill your air tank and to move through it faster, but in some of the tracks you'll just never move as fast as the cpu racers. Destroyed my palm and a gamecube control stick.

i love that game, once you learned it it was still a worthy challenge without being too brutal, through fuck that Jet race in the night dessert stage even at my best I still had to stay on top, the CPU could barrel through those rotation sections extremely quickly, Zero Gravity sucked but I really liked the story and how some people came up with a theory about it when something popped up in a later game in the series. Of course it probably wasn't intentional but it's fun to think about,
