Hm, taste is good. Tastes like a pumpkin pie with that IPA kick to it. Goes down very easy

Imperial just means "fuckton of alcohol".

Imperial is basically just a brewer term for high abv

IPA stands for India Pale Ale which is a notably hoppy style of beer.

this beer wouldnt make sense particularly hoppy

Last year I was a big fan of Gourds Gone Wild, because of the name mostly.

That looks good. I'm bummed this year, my favorite pumpkin beer, Fat Heads Spooky Tooth, is only coming out in cans. Southern Tier Imperial Warlock is still there for me, at least.

I'm glad this topic served not only as a platform for beer discussion but also as an educational piece on the difference between Imperial and IPAs. I gained something from this. When this topic eventually gets archived into hell, I'll still remember it, and be sure to inform anyone who made the same mistake as me on the proper terms.

Relevant tangent: I learned recently that several states have laws to cap beer abv , so you can't even get fancy imperial beers there. No wonder pabst got popular.

I used to drink a lot of Southern Tier's pumpkin beer every year when I lived on the east coast. That's a beer you wake up sweating out and smelling like for two days. Pretty good one though.

Utah used to restrict beer abv to 3.2%, until like, last year

I bought a pack of Pumking Nitro from them. Can't say I'm impressed. I'll drink them because I bought them, but meh.
